SUMMARY The Applications Development Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of system development and maintenance of in-house and outsourced applications including design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation and project management. This includes hands-on experience, managing client/server and Web-based application development for the Windows .NET (C#, SQL Server) environment and Java / J2EE.  
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION The Project Manager will work in a matrix environment and manage team resources across the BA, Development, DBA and QA areas located both locally and offshore. He/she will be expected to interface effectively with business users at all levels of management, and will occasionally be acting as a ‘back-up’ for Senior IT management.  JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES     Manages multiple development project at all the stages of SDLC.
    Implements the bank’s design standards and System Development Methodology.
    Participates in Project Management tasks (i.e. planning, prioritization, estimation, monitoring, management reporting, etc.).
    Project manages the design, coding, testing, documentation and maintenance applications written for client/server and Web environments.
    Participates in all aspects of application design (i.e. GUI, database, components, etc.).
    Participates in all aspects of application development (i.e. database stored procedures, Web components, Crystal Reports, etc.).
    Oversees unit and integration testing, and assists in system and user acceptance testing.
    Documents application modules, and assist in the preparation of user and system documentation.
    Performs all functions as assigned by management.


REQUIREMENTS     8 or more years progressive experience in applications development, business analysis and project management.
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    Extensive experience with systems development methodologies (i.e. SDLC, AGILE, etc.).
    Experience in managing projects involving .NET, SQL Server, Crystal, Java, DB2,Oracle on the Windows platform.
    Experience with Global Custody, multi-currency accounting, international banking, and Securities Processing application systems.
    Knowledge on managing the projects using Java, JSP, spring and FLEX and experience with Weblogic, Jboss, SiteMinder and Cognos is a plus.
    Knowledge of industry best practices such as PMI, CMMI, ITIL, etc.
