DescriptionPosition: Compliance AnalystSUMMARYAssist the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Officer (the “BSACO”) to ensure the Bank maintains an effective BSA/AML Compliance Program. Assist the manager of Regulatory Compliance Department (“RCD”) to ensure the Bank maintains an effective Corporate Compliance Program.SPECIAL WORK HOURSOn U.S. bank holidays (generally, 9am and a period from 4pm to 5pm), monitor OFAC hits on SWIFT messages on-or-off site.JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBSA/AML/OFAC:Responsibilities may be delegated by BSACO after appropriate training. Conducts necessary searches as required by OFAC/FinCEN regulations (including FinCEN 314(a) and Section 311)
Prepares accurate set of BSA Daily Monitoring Reports for the BSACO’s review.
Monitors transaction activities within each customer’s account(s) and compares that activity against the customer’s existing BSA/AML profile.
Prepares periodic monitoring reports of BSA/AML higher risk countries.
Conducts Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) searches for customers for BSACO’s review.
Works with relevant departments to prepare and update Customer Profiles and BSA Risk Matrices.
Determines the accuracy of the existing Customer Profiles including customer due diligence documents (AML Questionnaires, USA PATRIOT Act certificates, etc.)
Acts as the first backup to the BSACO upon his/her absence. CORPORATE COMPLIANCE and other general responsibilities: - Acts as the Secretary of quarterly General Compliance Meetings including preparation of the Meeting Minutes. - Assists the manager of RCD to perform annual corporate compliance risk assessment. - Conducts corporate compliance testings based on the annual plan and report the results in the General Compliance Meeting. - Reviews designated RCD procedures at least annually.- Analyzes internal compliance-related reports and conveys the results to management.- Arranges bank-wide compliance seminars.- Conducts compliance training sessions for new employees.- Assist the manager of RCD for preparation of other periodic compliance-related meetings.- Performs all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.- Improves database and filing methods for the department.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Banking or Finance
At least 2-3 years experience in banking compliance specifically related to BSA/AML and corporate compliance regulatory requirements
Basic knowledge of SWIFT platform preferred
Basic knowledge and understanding of banking and global custody preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to generate accurate reports
Excellent communication in both oral and writing and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize compliance meetings including the preparation of minutes
Ability to perform multi-tasks with excellent time management skills
Excellent PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Internet)
