Job description

With an aging population and greater demands on our nation's senior care and skilled nursing facilities, is seeking a relationship manager who understands the many challenges our clients face every day — increased regulations, rising occupancy levels and falling reimbursement rates, to name a few.

Seeking a relationship manager with the experience and in-depth knowledge to structure the best solution for our clients; owners, operators and healthcare investors—from term loans and acquisitions to refinancing, property renovations and revolving lines of credit.

This role directs the National Healthcare portfolio and is the senior authority in the management of all Healthcare activities including the teams and/or Relationship Managers that may be located throughout the country. A well-established market presence, network of contemporaries and strong leadership abilities expected. Oversees business development, sector focus, and account management of Healthcare industry sector. The role is responsible for influencing portfolio growth, driving a sales process, enhancing the deposit and loan portfolio, as well as the overall revenues in the sector. Strong knowledge of industry drivers across all product classes (i.e. skilled nursing, senior housing, hospitals, surgical centers, social services, physician practices, etc.) and ability to choose sub-sectors as growth engines while maintaining the portfolio’s credit health. The position will manage multiple BDO’s / teams across the country, starting with NY, and further expanding the California and Florida markets, where currently has physical offices. The National Head is engaged in staffing and career development of the people on the teams.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Accountable for sector’s performance, financial reporting, covenant compliance, and other portfolio metrics (portfolio scale and composition, overall credit health, regional and customer level concentrations, deposit gathering metrics, etc.).

Actively represents the Bank in the sector, including participation in community and industry events in each region.

Establish and manage the industry’s strategic direction and portfolio quality within the guidelines set by bank leadership.

Manage multiple teams consisting located across the country:

Collaborate with Human Resources and engage in all staffing, training and employee performance evaluations

Responsible for the professional development of subordinate team members

Decide how to best manage multiple teams in different locations and product sub-sectors with a focus on standardization, collaboration, and efficient transaction execution

    

 

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; MBA preferred.

Superior business development and presentation skills and experience

Excellent management skills and the ability to coach and develop to enhance employee performance

Superior credit and negotiation skills

Superior knowledge of non-borrowing products

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Proven analytical and financial analysis skills

In-depth knowledge of lending policies and procedures

Thorough understanding of risks (market, rate, leverage, etc.) as it applies to the lending process.

Detailed knowledge of loan documentation, accounting, loan structuring, and collateral procedures.

Proven leadership abilities in team work settings with proficiency in product knowledge, sales cycle, and strategic planning

Ability to hire, train, manage and coach others.

Supervisory responsibilities: Management of origination, credit and portfolio management personnel, including customer service staff.
