OVERVIEW:
The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) focuses on the establishment, monitoring and optimization of day-to-day internal operations of the Branch, and the delivery of high quality customer service. The ABM is also responsible for management of all areas of the Branch, including the Teller, Customer Service and Safe Deposit Box/Vault (as applicable). The ABM supports all such areas to achieve his/her Branch strategic goals and objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Operational Risk of the Branch, including:
a) Management of teller area (deposit and withdrawals and cash management).
b) Management of Branch physical security. Includes working with the Branch's outside alarm
companies which monitor the Branch and reporting to management any unusual or suspicious events and implement resolutions to handle these issues.
c) Ensure that your staff follows all Bank policies and procedures to protect the Bank against
financial and reputational loss.
d) Make recommendations to management regarding procedures that would better protect
the Bank against operational risk and achieve efficiency.
Oversee Branch Compliance with related Laws and Regulations, including:
a) Ensure that your staff understands and implements the regulations and laws, and the Bank
policies and procedures, relating to consumer disclosures for products and services sold by the Bank .
b) Ensuring that your staff understands and implements the regulations and laws, and the
Bank policies and procedures, relating to anti-money laundering.
c) Ensuring that your staff understand the regulations and laws, and Bank policies and
procedures, relating to availability of customer funds deposited.
Manage Branch Personnel affairs, including:
a) Evaluate the performance of Branch staff.
b) Ensure that your staff adhere to all personnel policies and procedures of the Bank. c ) Recommend promotions, terminations or other staff changes to management.
d) Manage staff schedules to make sure appropriate coverage is in place.
Manage Customer Service Levels:
a) Implement internal Branch sales strategies:.
b) Visit existing customer for compliance and/or to strengthen customer relationship. c) Implement and manage sale of products and services (current or new) to customers.
d) Make recommendations to management regarding marketing and sales strategies and new
products that would benefit Branch.
e) Product focus will be primarily on deposit account-related services; however, loan products
may be used to help promote deposit account development.
f) Manage and direct the quality of customer service provided at the Branch.
